LaDierdre McKinney is a second-year law student at Michigan State University College of Law. Prior to the start of her JD, LaDierdre received her BS in Legal Studies from St. John’s University. Her scholarly interests center around the role of a lawyer in a technology-driven world and bankruptcy law.
As an Access to Justice Fellow, LaDierdre is spending her summer working with Michigan Legal Help in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She will assist in developing new models of user-friendly, accessible, and engaging legal services through the use of technology. This blog will follow her unique journey.
LaDierdre hopes to shed light on the changing landscape in legal service delivery and inspire other legal professionals to use their skills and technological competencies to address issues in our justice system. She believes that using technology tools can expand legal access and improve the delivery of legal services.
